Description
This model is an authentic and accurate wooden vessel created from historic drawings. With a 16’ beam and 45’ keel the Alabaster is a fine small vessel that can be customized for many purposes. Historically she could be used as a scout ship and with swivel guns attached would have some fighting capabilities; however, her advantage would be speed, agility and stealth. She would also make a fine merchant or fishing vessel or could be used to load larger ships.
The Midshipman Package includes three deck variants, and three hull variants with smooth (sail-less) masts for ease of set-up. Also included are ten pieces of scatter, rigging, helm options and swivel guns! The Captains Package (see other posting) includes additional options.
The design was prepared for 28mm scale tabletop gaming terrain but can be scaled to 25mm and 30mm easily. Larger scales are possible but have not been tested yet. The file can be used for other purposes as well. The model comes in several parts, and there are two playable levels. Split files are included to allow printing on small format printers, assembly is required.
Your purchase is for a ‘personal use’ license. The use of the STL file is strictly for printing physical product for personal use. The STL files may not be modified (remixed), sold, shared or distributed. If you are interested in a ‘Commercial’ (or Merchants) license so you can print and sell the physical parts in your shop, please contact me.
Your purchase includes 54 STL files (THIS IS NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT). A list has been included with all the files, print times and material requirements with the settings I used. I have printed all the parts shown on an unheated bed printer. I recommend the coffered base files (includes the letter ‘C’) for non-heated beds, as these files worked great for me to improve adhesion. All the parts print without supports, some work better with a brim to control lifting, and a few (hulls) require supports. You will find all the information you need in the detailed lists included.
