Description
This set of models is a highly detailed and customizable tower, typical of what you might find in Normandy in the 11th to 14th centuries. There are four standard variations – Tower Only, Tower with Gatehouse, Tower with Gatehouse and Courtyard and the full model which includes additional walls to create an enclosed castle structure! The wall sections have a locking feature that allows for easy tear-down, storage, and several different configurations. All towers include four standard levels and a variation of the second level which allows you to stack five playable levels or higher! Access to the tower is on the second level, through a removable wooden staircase kept at a right angle to the entrance for a more defensible structure which replicates authentic designs of the Norman era.
This tower was modeled to be packed with features and realism but also to be kept to a manageable size, for both printing and table space. This model also features a highly detailed hand sculpted stone surface and wall interlock features which allow for easy disassembly and reconfiguration of the ‘castle’ structure. The dimensions listed are for the basic single 4 level tower, the actual size of the assembled castle you build will be up to you.
The design was prepared for 28mm scale tabletop gaming terrain but can be scaled to 25mm and 30mm easily. Larger scales are possible but have not been tested yet. The file can be used for other purposes as well. The model comes in many parts, and the height, entrances and shape are customizable. This model can be printed on small format printers, assembly is required.
Your purchase is for a ‘personal use’ license. The use of the STL file is strictly for printing physical product for personal use. The STL files may not be modified (remixed), sold, shared or distributed. If you are interested in a ‘Commercial’ (or Merchants) license so you can print and sell the physical parts in your shop, please contact me.
Your purchase includes 22 STL files (THIS IS NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT). A list has been included with all the files, print times and material requirements with the settings I used. I have printed all the parts shown on an unheated bed printer. I recommend the ‘adhesion’ feature files (include the letter ‘A’) for non-heated beds, as these files worked great for me to improve adhesion, in combination with Elmer’s Purple school glue on my bed.
