We’ve designed MiniHoarder to put the artist and creator first. For each sale, payment processing will be covered, MiniHoarder will receive 5%, and the rest will go to the creator. For orders $10 and under that do not include subscriptions, payment processing is 5% + $0.05 for domestic payments (US), and 6.5% + $0.05 for international payments. For orders over $10 or for orders that include subscriptions, payment processing is 2.9% + $0.30.
If you looked at our Hoarding Plans, you might have noticed that we offer store discounts of 5% for some subscription levels. These discounts are taken directly from MiniHoarder’s percentage of any sale. For example, if a subscriber with a 5% store discount makes a purchase, MiniHoader gets 0% of the sale, and the amount received by the artist is unchanged.
This percentage is subject to change as costs of maintaining the site evolve. However, once a vendor is signed up, their rate will remain locked in. Any changes will only affect new vendor accounts (unless we can lower them, of course, in which case everyone will share the love).
None what-so-ever. We want the barrier to entry to be as low as possible.
Absolutely not. We want you to be as successful as possible. We would love to be a part of that success, but we’ll never ask you to only list your products with us.
We currently issue funds to PayPal accounts. To receive funds, you will need to add your PayPal account name to your settings from your Vendor dashboard (accessible from the “My Account” page).
The vendor dashboard is also where you will issue your withdrawal requests. You can issue a request once every seven days. We won’t lie, this number is pretty arbitrary, but it seemed like a good place to start. If you’d like to see this changed or have any thoughts in this regard, don’t hesitate to share them with us.
Fantastic question! After you’ve created your account, navigate to the “My Account” area from the top menu bar. If you’ve correctly signed up as a vendor, click on the button that reads “Go to Vendor Dashboard”.
From here, you’ll be able to change your profile information, see your sales information, and create new products.
Absolutely! We have a very flexible coupon system. Below are some of the options that are available:
This will allow you to reward Patreon followers with freebies (set the percentage discount to 100%), or create a sale for your entire store without having to set a sale price on every product (which you could also do!).
Not at all. The hoarder plans are for a cloud storage and organizational tool that folks use to manage their .stl and .obj file collections. Starting a store and selling products are independent of that. We want the barrier for entry to be as low as possible for you to share you work with others.
There are many sites out there that cater to all kinds of printable models. Jewelry, gadgets, spare parts, you name it. MiniHoarder caters specifically to our friends and party members who are gamers and hobbyists. We’d love to see any sort of miniatures, terrain pieces, or game accessories that you can dream up.
This probably doesn’t need mentioning, but just for the sake of completeness, you do need to have the rights to sell the files associated with your products. If it’s not your original artwork, you will need express permission from the original creator that it’s okay for you to sell their work. Failure to comply with this will result in the store being closed. Additionally, we will make every effort to get any profits made from these products to the original creators.
